A Word about the Command Council
The Command Council, also known as "The Triumverate Plus One" is the governing body of the GMF. All major decisions concerning the direction of the organization, the addition or removal of Joint Chiefs, and anything which affects the overall performance of the club will be decided on by these three people. Generally, the policy is to maintain a "hands off" stance when it comes to deciding on how members should pursue the enjoyment of science fiction or on what sort of activites various chapters may engage in, provided that said activities are legal.
And now... the Command Council of the GMF! Click on the person's picture to email them. Commander The Commander is the overall President of the organization. He or she makes the final decision regarding ALL matters pertaining to the club. The Commander will make decisions upon consideration of advice given by the other two command officers. Deputy Commander The Deputy Commander is the overall Vice-President of the organization. He or she will assume the duties of the Commander should the Commander be incapacitated or otherwise not contactable for an extended period of time. The Deputy Commander will oversee the functioning of the club and maintain records of units and individual members. Vice Marshal David Sladky Communications Director The Communications Director is responsible for all internal and external communications regarding club activities, contacts, and diplomacy. This includes, but is not limited to, email contacts, website development, and newsletters. Vice Marshal Aaron Little Sergeant-Major of the GMF The GMF-SGM is responsible for the administration of any and all GMF Training Programs. This individual also assists the Vice Commander in the administration of the GMF Awards Program and, specifically, runs the Service Award program by keeping track of member accomplishments and service point tallies. Lastly, this Senior NCO is responsible for keeping order at all official GMF online or face-to-face meetings and is meant to be an example of the highest standards of conduct and performance required of all GMF NCOs and the officers under whom they serve.
